I am super excited to try my hand at blogging this coming school year. I am a 2nd grade teacher in the state of Arizona. This coming 2017-2018 will be my 8th year teaching. I’ve taught 1st grade for 3 years and 2nd grade for 4 years and counting. I also run the Middle School Broadcasting Club at my K-8 school.
Throughout my time teaching, I have discovered a passion for teaching and for technology in education. I just finished my Master in Educational Technology two days ago!! I have the graduation ceremony in December 2017. My goals for this coming year are to become a Google Certified Trainer, a Certified BrainPop Educator, and a WeVideo Ambassador. I'm a ClassDojo Mentor for my school.
I love to travel and to read blogs. Traveling is definitely a family trait. Be sure to check out my brother's blog, Crewtravelers. I traveled to Chile several years ago and met the love of my life. We eventually got married and have been living in Arizona for 6 years. We have a 5 year old son that will be starting Kindergarten at my school in the fall. Our son is obsessed with Lego Batman and was saying he was Bruce Wayne in this photo.
We have traveled quite a bit but we plan to eventually travel to all 50 states and all 13 regions of Chile.
